Thanks. Your buildings look perfectly fine - just stick with it. Most of the battle is learning what Maya likes, doesn't like, and where options are hidden in the god awful menu system. Once you figure out the intrincacies of it, you can put together a good model very fast because you're not spending all of your time searching for tools or correcting things that shouldn't be a problem in the first place.
The 3D class is just the tip of the iceberg, so don't give up!
